Do a World of Good — Volunteer

One very personal way to get involved with national parks and public lands is to volunteer your time. Volunteers have become integral to the operation of many parks across the country, whether they perform office work, help educate schoolchildren, or perform manual labor. And they have the satisfaction of knowing they are doing their part to preserve vital natural and cultural resources.

Volunteers at JNPA-supported sites contribute thousands of hours every year. Some are students wishing to learn more about American history; some are retirees wanting to share their expertise in a variety of areas; most just have interest in helping others and supporting cultural, natural and historic sites of national significance.
